Monroe, Washington, and Jefferson. Feb. 20, 2017
We had an amazing hike of Mt. Monroe, Mt. Washington, and Mt. Jefferson last Monday. The temperatures were high (for winter) and the wind was practically absent. Alex has an excellent trip report on her blog. Here are my photos -- go to Alex's blog for a proper TR, though. We began before sunrise and were able to catch the sun coming up while ascending Monroe. Many thanks to John Myers for the great company!

We'll be at Pinkham Notch Visitor Center this Wednesday...
Alex, Sage, and I will be at Pinkham Notch Visitor Center this Wednesday evening (February 22) at 8pm.
We'll give a 45-minute presentation (with lots of photos) on our hiking history, our thru-hikes of the John Muir Trail and the Camino de Santiago, our Grid quest, our Trailwrights peaks, our highpointing, the creation of our Terrifying 25 hiking list, the trailwork...and what it's meant to be young girls hiking "grown-up" mountains year-round since the age of 5 (prejudices and attitudes met and overcome). Alex will also dedicate a small portion of the discussion to Leave No Trace principles.
Hope to see you there!

Hi there,
A reminder that the bulk of the blogging is now being done by Alex (Sage will blog too after she turns 13). Alex's recent trip reports of our hike of Adams and Madison, and of Wildcat A, can be found here -- www.alexinthewhitemountains.com.
Hope everyone is staying warm and safe,
Trish
