We went from spring to winter and back to spring again with this one. The ice was never really all that bad -- only a few spots of tricky negotiation, but nothing that wasn't managed with light traction. I noticed there is now a trail conditions report posted on New England Trail Conditions from someone who hiked this peak the same day we did...funny how people have different impressions of the same trail on the same day. We felt the person described the trail as being far more icy than we experienced. Maybe it's because we still have our ice-fest Osceola trek still fresh in our minds...now THAT was a crazy ice-hike....everything else now feels like cake.
Alex will have a full trip report on her blog tomorrow evening. In the meantime, here are my photos...and some of these will show up on Alex's blog since her phone ran out of storage before we got to treeline.
It was a gorgeous day up there!
