After highpointing Nevada, we drove to Las Vegas. Circus Circus has great mid-week rates ($25-35!!) and they currently house a cool Chuck Jones exhibition.
The walls are filled with original drawings and sketches...
We rode a few rides at the Adventuredome (I know, this is sounding like a commercial, but we really like Circus Circus...inexpensive lodging and fun times for the kids)...
After Vegas, we headed east. We'd read about the Bonneville Salt Flats off I-80 on the Nevada/Utah border; the girls thought it would be fun to check out the area...
After the Flats, we visited the Great Salt Lake.
Looking at buffalo on Antelope Island State Park...
Wyoming was next (we were slowly making our way back to Denver). We spent a lovely, relaxed day in Cheyenne's Botanical Gardens (beautiful!).
After that, it was back to New Hampshire.
Good times.
Our next adventure will be to fly to San Francisco for GirlVentures' EMPOWER! Breakfast! Can't wait!
