To those who have hiked with us, especially MadRiver and DaveBear -- thank you.
To those who have written messages of support -- thank you.
To those who have posted such amazing reviews -- thank you.
To the incredible Laurie Bernstein -- thank you.
To Sydny Miner, my outstanding editor and one of the kindest people I've ever met -- thank you.
To Caroline Sill and Jonathan Lazzara, my superb publicity and marketing team at Crown -- thank you.
To my kids, who (hopefully) love me even when I'm tired and cranky -- thank you.
To Hugh -- thank you.
To the Evil Grouse of Rocky Branch Trail, wherever you may currently reside -- thank you (for not terrorizing Sage when she hiked Isolation last November).
To whoever decided to make Hillsound Trail Crampons adjustable so that one size fits all -- thank you (seriously!).
The girls and I look forward to tomorrow; it'll be a brand new day.

I received this book as a member of the From Left to Write book club and let it stare at me for a few days until I had a free evening. It was as good as I had imagined it would be. I read 2/3 of the book in the first sitting, and then one of my children was having trouble sleeping and I needed to help him. But I can't wait to finish it. Congratulations to all! Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Elaine, thank you so much! I'm glad you're enjoying the book. :)
